MUSTANG NEWS

Dear Community Members and Parents,

On behalf of the North River School District, we extend our deepest gratitude to each one of you for your incredible support at our football game. Your collective enthusiasm on the sidelines was truly amazing and made a significant impact on our players.

The incredible energy you brought to the game was a testament to the amazing spirit of our community, and it was wonderful to see so many faces cheering on our team. Your presence truly made the event memorable for everyone involved.

Beyond the game itself, we are especially thankful for the positive environment created by parents and community members who fostered a culture of sportsmanship and respect for players and coaches. It is the collective effort of our community that helps build character and provides invaluable life lessons to our students.

Your continued support, whether through attending games, volunteering, or spreading positive energy, is invaluable. It not only boosts our players' morale but also demonstrates the strong bonds with our school and community. We are so grateful for the time and passion you contribute to making our program and school a success and for instilling important values of teamwork and perseverance in our young athletes and students.

Thank you for being such a vital part of the North River School family. We look forward to seeing you at the district's events.

I have included a copy of what the interim principal, David Farnell, prepared, but was unable to present to you due to technical issues with the sound system.

GO MUSTANGS!!

Sincerely,

Pamela Pratt

Interim Superintendent

David Farnell Game Announcement:

Good afternoon, everyone. On behalf of the NR school, we would like to welcome you all to this very special and historic football game between NR/Oakville and Wahkiakum.  First of all, I would like to thank all those who made this event possible. I cannot possibly list all of the school employees, coaches, students, parents, volunteers, businesses like Dennis Company, and others who have made this event possible. However, I would like to take a moment to recognize a few individuals for their contribution to this historic event, as NR has not had a football game here since 1961!

First, I would like to thank North River’s outgoing athletic director, Mr. Sean Pierson for his 14 years of dedication as an outstanding AD here at North River. Additionally, I would like to thank the current athletic directors, Mr. Rich Brock of NR and Ms. Christina Mootz, for all their work to make this game possible. Finally, and most importantly, I would like to recognize a man who attended North River School and, as a proud junior, played in the last game here in 1961. This man has and continues to make significant contributions to this school and community. We all greatly appreciate his selfless service to our community and school, where he served for many years as a valued school board member. Finally, his generosity in donating the very land we are gathered on this afternoon has made it possible for North River to once again be able to host a football game.

Please join me in a round of applause in appreciation of Mr. Bob Sholes.

Now I would like to invite you all to please stand, remove your hats, and join me in honoring our country with the Pledge of Allegiance.
